Grandpa Richards Kids

My grand daughter celebrated her 5th birthday recently, and I was invited to the party.

WOW!!!

I would never have imagined what it would be like with close to a dozen 5 year old girls. They coloured, and pasted, and danced, and played vigourously on the deck, and had contests, and, and, and. And never seemed to run out of energy. One innovative contest they had was a variation of the old ‘Pin the Tail on the Donkey’. Only this one was ‘Pin the Lips on the Bratz’. (and if you do not know what a ‘Bratz’ is, then this grandpa has one over on you!)

There was I (a grandpa) in the midst of this non-stop action, trying to take photos. Let me tell you, trying to take decent photos was a challenge, with young ladies jumping in front of me, and even running up to me and saying ‘Boo!’.

When the cake came out, it had sparklers instead of candles. Jasmine did not realize that you cannot blow sparklers out, and got a little frustrated.
